Kirsty Williams - Partnership Manager (middle)
Kirsty started with the team on 1st September 2015 and has come largely from a sports development background. Kirsty has a BA honours in sociology of sport and leisure with physical education, graduating at Brighton University in 2008. Her passion has always been in getting people active and helping to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities that they find rewarding and enjoyable.
Kirsty is excited to join the team at Sporting Futures and will lead them into a new era. With the foundations that Jill has set up, Kirsty's aim is to take the team one step further ensuring that there is a diverse and unique stance across the partnership.
Chantal Malan - Partnership Community Coach (right)
Chantal also joined the team on 1st September 2015 after working with Dacorum school sports network over the past year. Chantal has graduated with a BA Honours in Sports Studies and Physical Education at Brighton University in 2013 and also graduated with an MA in sport and international development in February 2015. Chantal is a sport enthusiast who loves swimming, Formula 1, rugby and cricket.
Chantal will be the lead coach and coordinator of the Go Live holiday programme. She will also support in the delivery of competitions, festivals and programmes within schools, whilst working closely and meeting with partners regularly.
Julia Burrows - Competition Lead & Senior Community Coach (left)
Julia joined the team in December 2005. Julia's background was largely in early years education, moving onto sports coaching around 25 years ago. Julia is renowned in the community for her fantastic coaching work from nurseries to secondary school ages. Part of the school sports partnership previously and now part of SSFT, Julia thrives in this environment.
Julia set up Storm netball club in 2006, still actively playing, coaching and umpiring in her favourite sport. Julia also plays basketball regularly as well.
Julia supports Kirsty in her Partnership Manager role, leading on school events, amongst a variety of other responsibilities to drive the SSFT team forward.
Mary Szulikowski - Inclusion Lead
Mary has worked for Stevenage Sports Partnership and Stevenage Sporting Futures for over 10 years. Mary's past experience involves being head of physical education for both boys and girls. She has also been a special educational needs teacher at Lonsdale for 25 years. Mary works with a variety of pupil's who have a physical impairment and / or communication difficulties. Mary's expertise are vast, and she is a real asset to the team and Stevenage!
Sharna Matthews – PE & Sports Apprentice ( Above )
Sharna’s hard work and dedication is clear to see. Sharna would like to work within a school where her communication & coaching skills can develop even further. Sharma is always on hand to help the Sporting Futures Team and has been working closely with Julia since October 2013.
